10am Harvest Service at St. Ouen’s Parish Church

Harvest Service at The Parish Church

On Sunday 1st October, The 10am Contemporary Service will be celebrating Harvest by exploring the Parable of the Mustard Seed, at St Ouen’s Parish Church.

This is an All Age service, so there will be no children and youth groups this Sunday. This is an informal family-friendly service and there will be optional activities for all ages during the service. From 9.30am we will be serving croissants, coffee, tea, hot chocolate and squash. The all-age service will start at 10am. There are also refreshments after the service, to welcome newcomers and catch up with one another.

Once again we will be collecting produce to gift to the work of “Grace Trust Jersey” and the “Friends of Ecce Homo Trust” to go out to Romania. The most useful produce to bring are items that can keep for a long time, ideally tinned vegetables, meat, tuna, fruit, rice puddings, custard, pasta sauces and curries. Packet items that are helpful include dried pasta, rice, sugar, salt, cereals, porridge, long-life milk, cooking oil, biscuits and cakes. Please check that all items are within their ‘best before’ dates as we give with generous and grateful hearts.

Finally, thank you to those who have kindly created the beautiful floral arrangements and harvest displays in church. The church looks beautiful!
