Thursday 23 April: Bible Verse For The Day and Song

Bible Verse For The Day and Song

As a church we are following a series of short video messages by Ian, ‘How to Walk in the Wilderness.’ The video message for Week 3 is: Rebuking the Storm

Our readings this week are focused on ‘Rebuking the Storm,’ based upon the different themes and ways we do this, as raised in 2 Chronicles 7 v:13-14:
“When I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or command the locust to devour the land, or send pestilence among my people, if my people who are called by my name humble themselves, pray, seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”

Today’s verse to help you think about the theme of ‘Rebuking the Storm’ (as raised in 2 Chronicles 7 v:13-14) is: Revelation 8 v.3-5

“Another angel with a golden censer came and stood at the altar; he was given a great quantity of incense to offer with the prayers of all the saints on the golden altar that is before the throne. And the smoke of the incense, with the prayers of the saints, rose before God from the hand of the angel. Then the angel took the censer and filled it with fire from the altar and threw it on the earth; and there were peals of thunder, rumblings, flashes of lightning, and an earthquake.”

Revelation 8 v.3-5
