Saturday 23 May: Bible Verse For The Day and Song

Bible Verse For The Day and Song

This week we will continue on the theme of practicing gratitude, with an opportunity each day to give thanks to God in three simple ways. Here is the link to Ian’s video message on Sunday 17th May: You Are Not Alone. There is Another With You and In You.

As we approach Pentecost, our Bible verses this week focus upon promises in the Old Testament prophetic books of the coming of the Holy Spirit. This week, Ian has chosen a selection of hymns as our songs of praise.

The drawing below is from Christian artist, Charlie Mackesy, who wrote the book, ‘The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse.’  This book has become an award winning and international bestseller.

‘What’s the best thing you’ve learned about storms?’ ‘That they end,’  said the horse.

Saturday 23rd May 2020

Today, thank God for 3 times you’ve known the Holy Spirit’s strength or equipping in your life. Today’s verse on the theme of ‘You Are Not Alone. There is Another With You and In You’ is: Luke 24 v.39

And see, I am sending upon you what my Father promised; so stay here in the city until you have been clothed with power from on high.

Luke 24 v.39
