Bible Verse For The Day and Song
This week our Bible verses will be taken from some key texts about the Early Church in the opening chapters of Acts, either in terms of what they said about Jesus or key practices they followed. Today, we hear some of Peter’s Pentecost message.
We will also continue on the theme of practicing gratitude, with an opportunity each day to give thanks to God in three simple ways. Today, give thanks for three aspects of God’s character.

Today’s verse is: Acts 2 v.22-24
‘You that are Israelites, listen to what I have to say: Jesus of Nazareth, a man attested to you by God with deeds of power, wonders, and signs that God did through him among you, as you yourselves know—this man, handed over to you according to the definite plan and foreknowledge of God, you crucified and killed by the hands of those outside the law. But God raised him up, having freed him from death, because it was impossible for him to be held in its power.’
Acts 2 v.22-24
‘The Malaysia Blessing’ – 120 singers sing ‘The Blessing’ in Malaysia (May, 2020)
For our Songs of Praise this week, Ian would like to give you the opportunity to choose. Yesterday, we shared the Channel Islands Blessing song. So impactful has this song been across the world, many countries have recorded a version of this song. Why don’t you email Ian your favourite? He will look to possibly incorporate it during the week. Here is one chosen by someone in our church who has a friend in Malaysia:
