Saturday 27 June: Bible Verse For The Day and Song

Bible Verse For The Day and Song

Ian would like to thank everyone for all the positive and helpful comments he has received over these past three months of running these daily reflections during lockdown. Ian has decided, for now, to press pause. In this final week, our Bible verses will bring us up to the pivotal moment in Acts and the Church, which is the conversion of Saul.

We continue on the theme of practicing gratitude, by taking opportunities to reflect upon our lockdown experiences. Today give thanks to God for three aspects of God’s character you have known the most during lockdown.

Saturday 27th June 2020

Today’s verse is: Acts 9 v.17-18

So Ananias went and entered the house. He laid his hands on Saul and said, ‘Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus, who appeared to you on your way here, has sent me so that you may regain your sight and be filled with the Holy Spirit.’  And immediately something like scales fell from his eyes, and his sight was restored. Then he got up and was baptised.

Acts 9 v.17-18

“For our songs of praise, I have gone melancholic and chosen the songs which have impacted me most during lockdown, in the order they have. Inevitably there have been different stages to this lockdown spiritually, and I leave them with you to reflect upon.”
