Acts 2 v.42-47 and Luke 24 v.50-53

|  Sermon by Revd. Ian Pallent at St. Ouen’s Parish Church, Jersey

As we move through the stages of the pandemic, at a time when our Sunday worship has been and still is restricted, what does it take to be God’s worshipping Church today? What would that look like?

This sermon looks at 3 ways to be devoted to being God’s worshipping Church:

  1. seeking the presence of God
  2. enjoying the pleasure of God
  3. seeking the purpose of God

“Worship is about the mess and fragility of humanity caught up in the perfection and love of divinity. Worship is an encounter with the crucified, risen and ascended Jesus Christ.”

Tim Hughes, Worship Leader and Church of England Priest
