Sea Sunday service: 16 July, 10.30am

Sea Sunday 2023

10:30am Morning Worship and the “Blessing of the Boats” at Grève de Lecq

On Sunday 16 July, 10:30am at Grève de Lecq we will be having our Sea Sunday service with the annual “Blessing of the Boats.” This is a Joint Service for all our three congregations. (No other services on this day.) We will be joined as usual by our friends from St. Ouen’s Methodist Church, Bethlehem Methodist Church and St. Mary’s Church.

We will as usual be collecting for The Mission to Seafarers. Sea Sunday is a special opportunity for us to remember and say prayers for the 1.5 million men and women who go to work at sea to make sure we receive our essential items. These men and women are brave seafarers who work in dangerous and lonely conditions, often not seeing their families for months at a time. The Mission to Seafarers is here to support and care for seafarers around the world.

Colleens Cafe is not able to facilitate our complimentary refreshments on the terrace again this year. However, the cafe will be open to purchase a range of coffees, teas and cold refreshments.

Colleens will be open to purchase your own refreshments.  Or, if you are happy to stand outside, please bring your own flask and/or cold drinks.

Please arrive early to allow time to get parked as it gets really busy! Perhaps try to make arrangements to car share.

Sea Sunday Kid’s Activities

Children’s activities for ages 3-12 years will be provided alongside the Sea Sunday service on Greve de Lecq beach from 10.15am for roughly an hour (until the service ends).
