Harvest Services: Sunday 28 September

Harvest Services

Our Harvest services at St. Ouen’s Parish Church and St. George’s Church are on Sunday 28 September.

Please bring a tin (or 2) of food with you to the 10am All Age service. All donations at the 10am service will be given to local Jersey food charities.

St. George’s Church will also be donating some produce from the window displays to Jersey food charities.

Thank you to everyone who is planning to help decorate the churches!

Message from Grace Trust Jersey

Dear Church of Jersey,

Every year, your incredible generosity helps us provide for those in our community who need it most. As we get close to Harvest, we’ve reviewed our food bank stocks to identify the items that would help us the most right now.

This year, our most needed items are:

Tinned Fruit
Tinned custards and rice puddings
Tinned meat– corned beef, ham, Fray Bentos
Tinned fish – tuna, sardines…
Tinned vegetables
Tinned pulses – chickpeas, lentils, kidney beans
Tinned soups
Tinned spaghetti
Small coffees
Rice
Cereals except porridge
Biscuits
Not pasta or baked beans (we have enough)

Currently we have enough stocks of pasta and baked beans and therefore have no immediate need in these two areas.

With the rising cost of living, more individuals and families than ever are relying on our services. Your donations make a real difference, providing essential food and that brings comfort and stability to so many.

We can only accept items that are within their use-by date. Your support, no matter how small, is a vital lifeline for our community.

Thank you for your continued kindness and for following Jesus’s example of compassion and ministry to all.

Kind regards

Grace Trust Jersey
