Sermon: Pentecost Celebration: Thy Kingdom Come 2018
2018 | 20 May | Sermon: Pentecost Celebration: Thy Kingdom Come 2018
Thy Kingdom Come is a global prayer movement that invites Christians around the world to pray for more people to come to know Jesus. What started in 2016 as an invitation from the Archbishops of Canterbury and York to the Church of England has grown into an international and ecumenical call to prayer.
Once again, we will be participating in the Archbishops of Canterbury and York initiative between Ascension Day and Pentecost, as we pray for more people to know Jesus Christ. Thy Kingdom Come: 10th-20th May. Our Pentecost Celebration concludes this 10 Days of Prayer on Pentecost Sunday.
We are invited to make a lasting difference in our nations and in our world, by responding to his call to find a deep unity of purpose in prayer”
Archbishop Justin Welby

The Prayer for Thy Kingdom Come
Read the prayer which thousands of people across the world will be praying during Thy Kingdom Come, and which will be at the heart of every event.
Almighty God,
your ascended Son has sent us into the world
to preach the good news of your kingdom:
inspire us with your Spirit
and fill our hearts with the fire of your love,
that all who hear your Word
may be drawn to you,
through Jesus Christ our Lord.
